Chakra was established in 1999 and was a pioneer in the field of handmade recycled paper in Sri Lanka. We are an environmentally friendly establishment, working towards a cleaner future. Chakra manufactures handmade recycled paper with an eco-friendly conscious. Our factory which makes the chemical free paper and board is located in the North Western province of Sri Lanka. We are also converters of this beautiful paper we manufacture. This process is done in our studio, situated in Pannipitiya in the suburbs of Colombo. Chakra papers come in many different colors and textures. The main raw material used to make our paper is post-consumer waste paper. We use rice paddy husk, Straw, Wild grass, Tea refuse, Banana fibre and Coconut coir as decorative ingredients in the paper making process.
